Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

I’ve been meaning to write this since Friday. I picked up the game Friday (for 360 since they ruined the PC version and whatnot,) and aside from a break to have dinner beat the single player in one sitting. It is a bit short, but I don’t really think that’s a valid complaint.

Is ‘videogame’ the right word?

While listening to a discussion the possible controversy that will likely arise from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2′s section where it seems that you play as a terrorist. It occurred to me that perhaps one of the possible reasons for that is the term ‘videogame,’ what it entails, and the weight it carries in people’s minds.

I signed the petition

I signed the petition against dedicated servers being removed from the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. I was signature 121,594.

I signed it after reading this editorial by the editor of PC Gamer magazine.

Infinity Ward missing the point?

Infinity Ward rather stealthily announced a few days back on a CoD fan podcast that in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 that there would be no dedicated fan run servers, because they want everything to be done as matchmaking through their servers. Of course this has caused quite a kerfuffle on the ol’ internets, leading to (last I checked) 85,000 people signing an online petition asking IW to reconsider.
