The Problem with Interactive Comics (Part 1)

For my capstone project proposal I’ve been reading a lot of interactive comics, and from reading them I’ve found that a lot of them I wouldn’t categorize as interactive comics. Or seem to have interactivity for the sake of it, rather then actually using it to support what they are trying to do in the comic.

Busy Busy (again)

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I’ve been meaning to write more (namely about BioShick 2, and a few other things,) but with the quarter ending at school, sending out job applications, trying to finish my capstone project proposal, etc etc. I’ve been a bit busy and haven’t gotten around to doing as much blogging here as I had been hoping to.

At least expect more soon before the Game Developers Conference, and then probably about GDC. And hopefully I’ll have some good news/information about my capstone game project to talk about.

My Graduate Capstone

Someone asked about this in a comment, so I figured it would be a good post for the blog. As part of my Masters program I’m in I have to complete a capstone, which can either be a thesis or a project. The difference being that a thesis is a paper, which you do a lot of research for, and for a project you make something (specifically they say a “deliverable.”) Continue Reading
